Whenever I eat potato chips, I get heartburn or something. Why do chips have this effect on me?

I have chips that often. But the only one who does not give me heartburn are Sun Chips. Why is this.

Salt and spices, and probably their way of cooking. Sun chips are healthier, then the basis for French fries.

Without knowing what kind of chips you are eating, I would suggest you read the label. . . . If they are flavored in any way (ie sour cream, barbecue, nachos, etc.) usually have MSG which can cause a variety of reactions, with me is the “shock”, as the symptoms but can cause heartburn, sore head, indigestion, etc. (Sun Chips MSG has among other things, the more flavor). If you are just eating plain chips I would suggest that the fat content can cause burning, especially if you can eat the potatoes in other ways.
