I’m not a doctor, but you should consider taking something like Zantac for a while ‘before going to bed.

Personally, I would go to the doctor. They will be able to prescribe something that helps. And even then do not sleep on your stomach. .

My husband got rid of his sleep on a wedge pillow, bed or pillow, so that the head is a bit ‘over his body. I would take an antacid before bedtime, such as Maalox or Mylanta. O-the-counter Zantac. Watch your diet and avoid eating fried or spicy foods or alcohol until you get under control If it persists, make an appointment with your doctor may prescribe a stronger drug such as Prilosec or Prevacid.

Also, stay away from foods with high acid content such as chocolate, coffee and tomatoes. When I was pregnant, this type of food made my heartburn so bad I could not even walk to the mailbox without my bottle of Tums. My doctor gave me acid reflux and the medicine did the trick. No more heartburn.
