What heartburn medication can be used if you are pregnant?

I have heartburn pain. I usually take Zantac, but I’m afraid to take if they are pregnant. I can take, chewable tablets do not cut me!

My doctor told me I could take Tums when I was pregnant. This was before I was at the counter Zantac though, so we wondered if it was ok, but it certainly can not take Tums.
