What Can I Do For My Dog With Acid Reflux?
My dog has severe acid reflux. I've seen vet after vet all told me there is nothing they can do for her. Someone told me a natural remedy (Manuka Honey). Has anyone heard of this, much less tried If there are any other resources you have heard please let me know. Thank you!

I have a male yellow lab who eats anything and everything. At 8 months he ate a piece of blanket. He had to have major surgery and took months to return to normal, rational nutrition. Once we returned from eating regular dry food, she started vomiting when he was not too long a gap between meals, as it had been weeks, 3 tablespoons soft damp special meal every 2 to 3 hours. I took him back to the vet, gave him a prescription for a large white pill, not sure of the name, but he said it was like Tums for dogs, only that it works. She also gave me a script for medicine Pepcid (humans). He also told me that changing their diet to more natural (which now use Nutro products) and some designed for sensative stomachs. He also stated that if the dog was not eating on a plate high (that is) should be changed to one. Those things have worked for us. He has not vomited in months. Ask your vet about the pills Pepcid and white if it would work. . . because you never know

honey is an antibacterial that can work for his reflux, but I read once that dog food and water dishes must be presented in a higher bracket, so when he eats, he is not leaning forward, it is worth a try.
