  1. A reader Says:

The advice in this book is pure magic. Our baby was not colicky but she was very agitated. Every time I did what this book suggests – the wrapper, stir, keep aside and quietly – she had stopped crying now. Yes, right away. It ‘was like pure magic. Nothing has worked before this book. I encourage everyone to buy, it is a lifesaver.

I agree with a previous review, it is useful to the first three months. This is what it faces. The author calls the fourth trimester and focuses on that. After that I started diapers (author isslustrates clearly), my daughter started sleeping through the night. I do not need this book because I had the opportunity to be more sensitive to their needs in the first three months, is now safe enough to sleep on his own, without being wrapped.

book is also very organized. It is a fact, not even have to read the whole book! It ‘s a useful summary and points on the road. Just read a page that clearly and succinctly summarizes everything that can save the life of the first three months and your baby on the way to being a child of confidence, self-Maremma.

This book has done more to help me calm my child. It increased my self-esteem as a parent. I knew that my baby move from the facility. But the horrified looks on people’s faces when you start jiggling a baby! Oh my! At least after reading this book helped me to know that it actually can do what intuitively worked.

In addition, the author is right – we spoling a child. I “ruined” my daughter like crazy. And what I now? Clingly A child who is dependent on jiggling and nappies (as many people predicted when I followed the advice of the author – she is dependent and will roll forever. “) No! I have a happy child to sleep alone and sleeps all night. In fact, is 4 months. It should never be shaken again, or wrapped. Even the white noise in the background for his sake. But I hear many adults sleep that way. />
This book is’ very kind and Sensitve the needs of our children very much. He says that the first three months of the fourth quarter. The child was in that for nine whole months and got used to the existence of sound and movement and delivery. And when it is not natural born (and, in my opinion, cruel) to leave them to their fate and find a way of being human in the world immediately. They need our help while they get their bearings. They are so small and the world is so big. />
In fact, many do not suggest books to read past the second month of infancy, or even beyond the first month. But the author recommends that you do when the child needs. All children are different and need to take your time! And not only from the time the child needs, but also what the child needs. So, wrap your baby as often as the child wants. Some books say this hinders development, but the author points out that if the child needs, calm baby BLE enough for the child to pay attention to the world and learn. My baby wanted to be involved for many hours every day. I felt guilty because the resources of so many others do not say. But this book helped me realize that it was only natural. The author asked – does not seem happier your child this way? YES! She was much happier when he was involved. And this was not dependent on it, as I said – it went from being more wrapped the day not always be wrapped quickly and effortlessly.

I know this is a long review. I only recommend this book. And usefuleness and help to go beyond both the sleep issues. I love this book. It ‘s the most useful book I ever read.

This book is an excellent read – in a simple and pleasant with some anthropology thrown in. Be careful, this is not very good for children over three months. I have a baby of two months is upset, and I realized that I’ve used a lot of these techniques without knowing it! The only thing that has been helpful so far is diapers. It seems to help make better naps. For 3 months and up, see “The No-Cry Sleep Solution.” It ‘like this book, because it uses a common sense approach to get children to calm down or sleep. Moreover, sound sleep, Happy Child “provides a scientific explanation of the baby sleep.

This book saved my life! Our daughter came home from the hospital and would not stop crying. I cried for hours and nothing to calm – no hug, no food, no burping, no rapid changes, not my mother-in-law (baby pacifiers overtime), no. . . up to this book!

The horror is finally over – absolutely technique works every time. The book is well written, easy to follow and the examples of other parents going through this are so reassuring. I am pleased that now, at 7 weeks, we have a lot of cooing, smiles, the union (almost impossible with a crying baby) and more sleep. You can call the author, Dr. Karp, but in our house called St. reverence Harvey – our patron saint of children. If you have a troubled child, I can not recommend this book enough. It really works miracles!

If I were the queen of all that ensures all new parents and nurses in the hospital learned this method. It could save many, then. San Harvey Thanks!

I have read almost all the important books that aims to explain why some children are very anxious and how to soothe. None of them can hold a candle to the book by Dr. Karp. Forget the gas and all other theories – this book explains clearly and simply what they are living infants. And the best part is the calming technique that relies on cutting-edge medical research. An explanation of the book “calm reflection” is quite appealing, but if you really want to calm your baby, buy the video that accompanies the book. It is a revelation! When you see Dr. Karp has a dozen different children quiet and in seconds, finally see what the book I can not stress enough – is a calming REFLEX, such as swallowing, and anybody can learn to activate. The video is a sure way to ensure that you are the domain of art. Technique and shows once again, with useful tips and troubleshooting. This is the ticket for new parents peace of mind ‘.

Dr. Karp has been a blessing when we need it most. Your good advice helped us calm our twins and allowed us to sleep. Until reading your book, the kids were very restless baby will not sleep for long periods of time. The first time you use the 5 S, the boys slept 3 hours. Before going to sleep only one hour, at most, because their gas pains that wake. It ‘obvious that Dr. Karp studied their methods and provides a concise method that can help all parents. Of all the books I read, made a significant difference in the lives of my children “and is a must have!
    Thank you Dr. Karp.
