Question by Just Tina Again: A question about chronic stomach pain in a 3 year old?
My 3yo has been having tummy aches for almost 1.5 year. I’ve taken him to the pedi. Every time I go he says something along the lines of “he’s constipated or has acid reflux” which I try to tell him in NOT the case. The last time we went the pedi said milk allergy so he wanted me to take him off of milk for 2 weeks. It’s been 3 weeks and if anything the pain has gotten worse. I have no idea what to do because my insurance wont cover a specialist unless the pedi gives a referral. I’ve tried prevacid, tums, and pepto. I’ve even tried natural stuff like mangosteen. Nothing is working. So anyone have any clues that can point me in the right direction?

I have a 2 1/2 year old male husky. He has been having trouble with his food… (throwing up after eating, not wanting to eat but will eat other things such as treats, real chicken, etc so its not like he doesn’t have an appetite, has loose stool and is gassy). Our vet does a comprehensive exam twice a year where they run tests and make sure everything checks out okay. Everything came back normal and she said he just has a form of “dog acid reflux” aka a sensitive stomach. He currently is on the Kirkland Chicken & Rice formula (dry food) but the vet suggested switching him to a sensitive stomach food and putting a tablespoon of yogurt in it. She suggested the Science Diet kind, ProPlan and one other one that I can’t remember. Before I go and buy one of these, I was hoping to get some opinions from people who have had a similar situation! I obviously want to be feeding my dog a good food!

I recently had a serious pain in my stomach, and my mom took me 2 hospital. They said it was an “Anti-acid Reflux” and gave me pills. they worked fine, and i was good for about 4 months-until now! Ive started to get pains again, but sorer and in a more left position. is this the same thing? what should i do, as im afraid to go to the doctor incase its a stomach tumour or even worse. should i just leave it and see if it goes away? im a 17 year old boy, im very active and eat alot of fruit&juice a day.

i’ve been having a really bad stomach pain for the last month. i’ve had it before, but the stupid doctor i went to then diagnosed it as “heartburn” OR “Acid Reflux Disease”.. he wasn’t sure. but he also added “possible ulcer”… then he put me on Zantac to be taken 2 times a day for three months. well, it went away about 5 months later on its own. no thanks to the zantac. and after my pregnancy last year, i now know what heartburn feels like, and this IS NOT IT. it hurts so bad that i crouch over and cry sometimes. it comes and goes, and eating/drinking makes no difference. whenever i change positions, however, it hits me REALLY bad. i’m going to the doctor this week, but i’d really like to know what this could be. so i won’t get diagnosed with “heartburn OR acid reflux” again. please help?
