I am beginning to experience acid reflx. I have a doctor’s appointment coming up. But, in the meantime, how do I get rid of the horrible after-tast that is left in my mounth (throat) after an episode? I have tried milk, crackers, soda, and even Pepto Bismol, but nothing is working. Help please!

I have it, and this is what works for me. Brushing the teeth, gargling, and taking an antacid do it to a large extent. Sometimes I eat some peanut butter to get rid of the taste and to calm the stomach and coat things. If you are counting on complete, instant relief of the sensation and taste, that isn’t going to happen, it takes a little time.
