Question by nycsinger2000: Chest pains …Should I worry?
Hi there
I have IBS Acid Reflux, sever nasal congestion and occasional Anxiety. I often have bouts of shortness of breath but with no coughing or wheazing. This week I have had a geat deal of shortness of breath along with back pain and pain under my ribs (all not completely uncommon for me)
Today I feel a lot better breathing is better and most pressure pain has gone away but I do still have a slight pain in my right shoulderblade area and an occasional sharp pain in my chst when breathing in which is sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right or sometimes just in my back today the back pain is only on the right. Everything seems better today but still it worries me a bit. I have had this sort of thing happen so many times that I cannot run to my DR. Every time to hear “Nothing is wrong it’s reflux”
I had an ekg Electrocardiogram and stress test about 3 months ago and all was very good…heart strong and recovers well…had blood work 2 weeks ago and all was good

I apprecieate the imput but I’m sure it’s not an allergy. I had the blood test for glutin and did a dairy free trial which just temproarily brought my cholesterol levels out of whack…..no allergy was found..thanks though

Answer by angel sometimes you can get air underneath rib cage and it causes alot of pain thruout where your saying. sometimes we can get chest wall pain. if all your test are A-OK, quit worrying so much! so NO, dont worry. if all is good everytime you go to dr. or ER, then why are you worried? take a antacid and get on with life!

Try to see a m doctor imm immediately. Go the urgency of your hours pital room. This looks like a heart attack or blockage.
I’ve had chest pains on the left side, but that is all gone, after my reflux disease has been treated, right now my chest still hurts. Im not sure if this is still heartburn. Thank you.
I have some chest tightness, which is making it feel like Im having difficult breathing could heartburn cause this I also went to the hospital last week & they said bronchitis could be setting in but I also always have BAD heartburn could that also cause some of the chest tightness & feeling short of breathe
