To me, this book was too basic. I have had GERD for several years and have had many discussions with physicians, gastroenterologists, etc about how to handle it. I tried all lifestyles and dietary changes with little success, and hopes to find some natural alternatives to improve the health of my stomach. Unfortunately, this book has little to offer someone like me. It ‘focuses on diet and lifestyle changes, and then passed only one page on what to try if things do not work. The simplistic “do not have to live with acid reflux, if you eat well and change your lifestyle message really bothered me, because some of us simply not true. And for those of us who need more, the book does not help at all.
still rated 2 stars, because if you are newly diagnosed with acid reflux GERD / or if you think you have it, this book would be a great introduction to lifestyle and diet changes that help many people. Do not expect much – the section is about acid reflux. But if you’re looking for the basics, a bit ‘more than it receives from the prospectus of a doctor, this book can help.
