Is it unhealthy to take heartburn pills prior to drinking to get rid of the Asian flush?
Taking heartburn medication prior to drinking seems to work. I’ve tried it a few times, and nothing really bad has happened. But I was wondering if this is safe or not. Because I know of no other way to lessen the effect of the flush.

The “Asian” flush is a common response to alcohol. It is most common among Asians, but is also seen in other races. The incidence of alcholism in various races is directly proportional to the prevalence of this flushing phenomenon.
This flush is a good thing. Drinking alcohol is not only unnecessary for any useful private or public activity, but it is actually harmful to your physical, social, and mental health. The flush is a good thing. I would suggest that you not try to defeat it.
