Is it possible that having a lot of acid in my mouth (acid reflux) ate away at my teeth and made them rot?

I’ve always taken good care of my teeth but the enamel has been eaten up and all but six teeth needed to be pulled. Now the remaining six have done the same thing. I have terrible acid reflux, could that be the problem

It is definitely a possibility — I would address this with your medical doctor to control the reflux in a more efficient manner.

You could have blood work done to test for levels of minerals, vitamins, and salts – etc – in your body to make sure everything is normal.

Otherwise it is just genetics. . some people have stronger, longer lasting teeth than others.
