How Long Does It Take For Acid Reflux To Go Away?
I began to suffer from acid reflux symptoms in the week after Thanksgiving. On 21 December, I went to a doctor and gave me Prevacid. I've been taking it since then. I started feeling much better a week after you start taking the medication, but my symptoms are not all the way gone. Sometimes I still feel I have a lump on the back of the throat and I burp a lot. Occasionally I'm a little nauseous. How long usually take to recover from acid reflux, or do you recover at all And when I run out of medicine, I must be good then, or I need more I have enough for a month and a half. I have plans to return for a checkup later this month, as well as my doctor asked me.

I hope your doctor suggested diet changes and medication. Avoid spicy anything fried, caffeine, chocolate, peppermint, orange juice, pineapple juice, and tomato sauces. Also, try to eat smaller meals so as not to dilate or stretch the stomach out too much at once. No down immediately after eating and try to sleep, with the upper body slightly elevated. If you smoke, stop smoking and avoid alcohol.
As for the Prevacid some people take it for many years. You may be on medication for long-term treatment. Usually four to six weeks are needed for the full effect of the medication. In its follow-up if symptoms are not fully resolved to ask about increasing the dose or frequency of Prevacid and possibly a reference to a soldier or a gastroenterologist.

As suffering from acid reflux understand what is happening. It depends on your diet. The longer eat junk / fast food / spicy food will continue its symptoms. Use of medication helps the symptoms, but only so far. I would suggest only eating food that was not upset your stomach. Usually stay away from milk, and everything else that I listed before.
Sometimes I have my symptoms for about 2 weeks but when I first got diagnosed with acid reflux is a month of suffering before he calmed down.
Just eat healthy and stay away from bad foods, and eventually die out.
Good luck!
