How do you know if you have acid reflux?

Sometimes I feel sick, I feel a lump in my throat and chest, vomiting, liquid, feeling that it’s hard to breathe, and sometimes if you eat very spicy foods, my stomach burns. Not sure, because the symptoms can disappear for several months so I guess it was something they ate, or simply a case of indigestion. How do I know if I have acid reflux or not
