Your doctor can give you meds for the heart burn that wont harm your baby.

there’s nothing to be done for the braxton hick’s other than lying on your Left side and drinking lots of water! Sorry!
Eat 6 or 7 small meals during the day and don’t drink when you eat your meals. . . this will help the heartburn a bit, also, ask your OB what antacids are ok to take during pregnancy. . . then take them!
Best wishes

There are a few heartburn remedies you can try before resorting to meds:
Try to drink between meals and limit your fluids during meals.
Stop eating 1-2 hours before going to bed.
Sleep with your head elevated on 2 or 3 pillows.
Eat a banana- they’re natural acid reducers!
Drink a glass of milk when you feel the heartburn coming on.
Talk to your doctor before taking any meds during pregnancy. Zantac, Tums, and Pepcid are all safe to take while pregnant. Your doctor may offer more choices, as some ‘ok’ Prilosec and Prevacid.
As for the contractions, make sure you’re drinking enough water. If you get dehyrdated, you’re more likely to have contractions. You should be drinking at least 10 glasses of water a day. Braxton Hicks contrations will usually stop if you change your level of activity- if you were active, try to relax. Lie down or take a warm bath or shower. If you were resting, try going for a walk. Drink two large glasses of water.
Good luck!

i take gastric tablets to ease heartburn. . also, avoid oily and spicy foods. . these seem to be the trigger of heartburn for me. . as for braxton hicks, they’re ot painful. . so just changing positions would ease any discomfort.

You can take tums and Pepcid for the heartburn. My OB ok’d both. If its really bad they also have prescription stuff that is safe.
The one answer earlier said to try bananas. . . . that just makes my heartburn worse. So give it a try, but don’t be surprised. Some times you have to just find what works right for you.
Drinking milk does help me, and definitely don’t lay down right after eating. Eating bread helps me as well. Smaller meals will help too. Basically pay attention to what your triggers are and try to avoid them, while also noticing what works to settle your tummy.

Some one suggested to me to use papaya enzyme to help with heart burn and HOLY COW does it work!! And it is safe for use in pregnancy.
As for the BH my OB told me to sit down with my feet up, and drink a ton of water. So far it has worked, but I have had some scary time of contractions getting down to 5 minutes apart for an hour.
The BH contractions (as long as that is all they are) are actually a GOOD thing. Annoying I know, but they help get your uterus ready to have real contractions later. It is kind of like training for a marathon. If you can put up with them (but always time them and make sure they don’t cause pain) let them go ahead and do their job! It will make labor easier for you later!

For heartburn I was on Zantac through my whole pregnancy. That will go away as soon as you give birth thank goodness! For BH the only thing that helps is drinking water and laying on your side. They are your body’s way of getting ready for labor but can be quite painful. Pepcid will take care of the heartburn. My dr gave it to me while I was preggo. He told me if I didnt take anything the acid could burn my esophogus. Sorry you just have to deal with the braxton hix. Lying on your side and relaxing is supposed to help but they wont go away.
