Snacks when you feel heartburn, try to sleep on an inclined surface at night, avoid fried and fatty foods, drinking ginger ale or tea or milk.

Try not to eat or drink before bed, try to identify foods that trigger and stay away from them. When you feel you come get up with pillows, not try to put the dish. When I was pregnant, I also I have stomach acid reflux and the water was a major culprit. If I drank too much only to come up. Ugh! I do not want to hear about Tums antacid tabs, but they work well and are safe and contain calcium.

hi heather! I know how terrible heartburn can be so painful! However, if you have symptoms at this time, you can only get a bit ‘of baking soda, a quarter teaspoon would be enough, add that to half a glass of warm water. Mix baking soda in water, then chug it down! drink, then after about 10 or 15 minutes the acid must be dissipated! Good luck!

Get ‘crystallized ginger. . . you should be able to find in the bulk foods section, or the ‘natural snack “of most of the shops, But May also need to ask WHERE do, or if you have it. I’m so past to get pregnant (5 + years before menopause), but I have horrible heartburn, and the “antacid (torque limitation) does not always work and are not always as fast as I (and you) need. Crystallized ginger is basically ginger root boiled in a thick syrup and covered with sugar crystals. Ginger has been used in Asia since before the BITHIA of Christ to ‘stomach. “This works for nausea, vomiting and acidity. I keep my bag of ginger on where to eat, and enjoy only 3-5 pieces of about 10-40 minutes after a meal. My stomach was calm and I feel much more able to passing gas (both ends, and should not try to “stop” this requirement, because it contributes greatly to their discomfort and pain). You can also take “real” medicines, but ask your doctor about what is best for you antacid … to take note of the foods you are taking before you get an attack of heartburn so the doctor can find the best antacid you can take, because of her pregnancy. Ginger, crystallized is also hot, and that some people who are too “hot” and cause heartburn, but I have used it since I was young enough to be pregnant and working, reliable, and if you eat before you feel a future attack is not going to attack heartburn that really hurt accompany every pregnancy.
