Heartburn Gerd
Heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux disease, GERD is a burning sensation and pain arising in the esophagus caused by acid from the stomach. Heartburn is usually felt just below or behind the breastbone, pain can also be heard in the chest and neck or throat.
Most people experience occasional heartburn, but if you regularly experience heartburn may have GERD.
Normally when you swallow food or liquids into the stomach, the muscle closes at the end of his esophagus. If this muscle fails to close properly, you can back up the stomach contents into the esophagus. The partially digested food is acidic and can irritate the esophagus, causing heartburn.

Foods that should be avoided to reduce the incidence of acid reflux are
Alcohol
Caffeine, carbonated beverages
Chocolate
Citrus fruits and juices
Tomatoes and tomato sauces
Spicy or fatty foods, fat dairy products
Peppermint and mint
Smoking
You should also think about your eating habits, for example, eating smaller meals, as a full stomach puts extra pressure on the esophagus, making it more likely that the heartburn.
Do not eat within 2 to 3 hours before bedtime.

Regular exercise and watch your weight will also help to prevent or reduce the incidence of heartburn
